The Battle Academy product line is a board game version of the Pokemon TCG, it's meant for casual play (with most of these cards being Vanilla cards) and will teach you the very basics of the Pokemon TCG. It's similar to the Trainer's Kit.
The decks are numbered in a specific order to play except for the Eevee V deck, which is the unnumbered advanced version (also comes with an Advanced Rulebook/Guide).
Similar to the 2020 version, each Battle Academy box comes with a two-player game board, three 60-card decks, tutorial guides, and gameplay accessories. It's worth noting that the Cinderace V, Pikachu V and Eevee V are all reprinted cards in this product. Cinderace V is releasing in Fusion Strike, Pikachu V is from Vivid Voltage and Eevee V is a promo from the V Powers Tin.
The 2020 Pokémon TCG Battle Academy was awarded 'Game of the Year' at the 2021 Toy of the Year awards earlier this year by the Toy Foundation.
